1. Take out the little plastic that is isolating if the battery was installed into the headlamp.
2. Charge the battery first for 3-4 hours. The indicator of the charger blinks red and green or just blinks red when the battery is charging. The indicator of the charger turns green when the battery is fully charged.
3. Install the battery into the headlamp. Put the negative pole (anode) on the side without the spring, that means put the positive pole (cathode) touching the spring.
4. Cover the lid back. Hardly press the button beside the head to turn it on.
5. Press the button lightly to change the modes. There are 3 modes (Bright-Dim-SOS)with this headlight
6. Zoom the head to change the shape of the light.
